​Manuel Zurria was born in Catania in 1962 and has lived in Rome since 1980. His intense collaboration with Alvin Lucier and Salvatore Sciarrino is notable. He has collaborated with some of the most important Italian composers including Sylvano Bussotti, Aldo Clementi, Franco Donatoni, Luca Francesconi, Adriano Guarnieri, Francesco Pennisi and Fabio Vacchi. He has been invited to festivals all over the world. In 1990 Manuel was one of the founders of Alter Ego; he is currently member of PMCE (Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble) in residence at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. He has released many CDs and vinyls for Kairos, Stradivarius, Die Schachtel, Mazagran, Mode Records, Megadisc, Touch, Another Timbre, Modern Love, ANTS Records. He is author of a unique project on minimalism (REPEAT! 3 CD-Die Schachtel 2007, Loops4ever 2 CD-Mazagran 2011, Again&Again 2 CD-ANTS Records 2020).
