Gintė Preisaitė is a Lithuanian pianist, composer, and sound artist based in Copenhagen, working at the intersection of classical music, electronics, improvisation, and contemporary composition. With a foundation in classical piano—studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) in Vilnius—her artistic journey has evolved into a rich and experimental practice that spans acoustic performance, electronic music, and free improvisation.
 
While still a student, Gintė began expanding her musical language through encounters with jazz artists like Arnas Mikalkėnas and participation in improvisation classes. These early experiences sparked a shift toward a more exploratory sound world, bridging classical tradition with jazz, electronic noise, and improvisational forms.
 
Today, Gintė’s work is defined by hybrid soundscapes and experimental techniques. She integrates acoustic piano improvisation with electronic textures, tape manipulation, and prepared instruments—transforming familiar sounds into something entirely new.
 
She has performed in a wide range of constellations and continues to explore dynamic combinations of sound, form, and space. Currently pursuing her Master's degree at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Gintė Preisaitė is part of a visionary generation of artists redefining the role of classical music within the broader spectrum of experimental music.
