Aaron Sterling (born July 9, 1980) is an American drummer, producer, engineer, and session musician who lives in Los Angeles and Nashville, Tennessee. The son of professional musicians, Sterling grew up in Texas and Nashville, before moving to L.A. in 2000. Known for his studio work, Sterling has played on hundreds of records over the past decade and has drummed for John Mayer, and has recorded for artists such as Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Post Malone, Lana Del Rey, Madison Cunningham, Keith Urban, Ben Rector, Lizzy McAlpine, Maren Morris and more.

Sterling was the drummer on Mayer's Born and Raised, Paradise Valley, and Sob Rock albums and played in the band for Mayer's 2013–2014 World Tour, as well as the John Mayer 2019 and 2022 world tours Sterling also appeared in the music videos for "Queen of California", Carry Me Away, and Last Train Home.

Aaron Sterling has been making contributions to art in the form of music for the last 25 years as one of the world's most renowned studio musicians. Aaron grew up in Franklin, TN, and after after living most of his adult life in Los Angeles, Aaron is happy to be back in his hometown of Franklin where he and his family currently resides. If you have listened to music, then you have undoubtedly heard Aaron Sterling more times than you can count. Playing on thousands of records from Harry Styles to Leonard Cohen to Post Malone to Lana Del Rey and with a notable long collaborative relationship with John Mayer. Known for his ability to convey emotion in music, his signature sounds, and his savant-like memory, Aaron cemented his place in the musical pantheon of this generation being one of the most streamed musicians in the world, currently 41 billion to be exact.

What many don't know publicly is that Aaron has had a form of Synesthesia his entire life. His Synesthesia takes form in shapes in his mind that correlate to emotion and are constant. As a young child never truly understanding what this was, Aaron kept the magical visual world he lived in private until this year, saying, "I've felt like I have been living in a world of visual abstract expressionism in my mind."

Only recently has Aaron opened this internal world that he has kept entirely private for the last 44 years, and began sharing with others through his visual art. Aaron became inspired to take his deep creative well and express it as a painter and abstract expressionist, using acrylic, oil, and charcoal.

He has found it deeply cathartic, inspiring, and uplifting to take what has been in his mind all these years as inspiration to create a signature world of imagery as an artist. Already making a name for himself in the art world, Aaron's pieces have sold out and have a distinct style that is a reflection of an internal world that is only just now seeing the light of day.
