最近、レーベルの作品が日本のCDショップやメディアでも少しずつ紹介されるようになってきたので、海外だけでなく日本の音楽ファンにもelsewhere musicレーベルの活動や取り上げる作曲家、作品などについての理解を深めていただけたらと思い、日本語のブログもここで始めることにしました。ブログ名は、私が米国移住する前の2004年の夏から始めて2020年頃まで主に実験音楽やクラシック音楽について個人的に書いていた「view from elsewhere」というブログ名をそのまま引き継ぐことにしました。

レーベル運営にまつわる話やelsewhere musicで取り上げるアーティストや作品について、少しずつ紹介していけたらと思っています。また、レーベルの仕事を始める前に個人ブログに書いていたような濃い音楽話も時々書いていけたらと思います。

Recently, as the label's works have gradually begun to be featured in Japanese CD shops and media as well, I decided to start this Japanese blog here. I hope it will help not only overseas listeners but also Japanese music fans deepen their understanding of the elsewhere music label's activities, the composers we feature, and the works we present. I've chosen to carry forward the name of my personal blog, “view from elsewhere,” which I used to write primarily about experimental and classical music from around 2004, before I moved to the US, until 2020.

Alongside gradually introducing the label's activities and the artists and works featured on elsewhere music, I also hope to write about deep discussions on music beyond my label's releases—similar to what I used to write on my personal blog before I started my own label.
